Arc Flashlight
From CPFWiki
Arc Flashlight was an early innnovator in the field of LED flashlights.
Arc went out of business in 2004.
The Arc AAA is highly regarded as a pocket or keychain light. Even when it was still being produced, it was in short supply; now they are difficult to come by and the selling price has nearly doubled.
The Arc LS was the first production LED flashlight to utilize a Luxeon LED.
The Arc4 was a microprocessor-driven light that experienced mixed reviews. It was well-regarded by many for its many features such as multiple brightness levels, and user-configurable modes of operation. It was criticised for a confusing menu system and manufacturing defects.
As of sometime in March 2005, Peter Gransee, formerly of Arc Flashlights, has teamed up with a new manufacturer to once again produce his very well selling Arc-AAA flashlights, formerly known as Arc-AAA rev 4, or the 4th revision. These lights should be available around July 20th, 2005
November 2005 update: Arc is back in business and has been for a while now. Currently they are only selling an updated version of the Arc-AAA (which claims to be 80% brigher than previous models), but more product releases are expected in the future.
